Luca Ionescu – LYNX Expression Series #2

 

Suburban Dark landed a placement in the new LYNX Expression Series advertisement with their single ‘Drug Store’.

 

The LYNX Expression Series uncovers Australian artists renowned for expressing themselves in their own unique style.

Luca Ionescu runs Like Minded Studio – a design house renowned for custom typography and graphic art in Darlinghurst, Sydney.

To commemorate the release of the new Dark & Gold Temptation daily fragrances Luca explored the theme of temptation, using the newly designed bodyspray cans as a canvas. The creative process spanned traditional hand drawn sketches and 2D + 3D computer generated artwork – ultimately producing a pair of intricate 3D printed sculptures that let him express his signature style through a new medium.

Tora secured a slot in the new LYNX Expression series advertisement with their single ‘Overcome‘ ft. Potato Potato.

The LYNX Expression Series chronicles creators renowned for expressing themselves authentically. In this first installment, street art duo The Yok and Sheryo transformed a 15×6 metre billboard into a work of art in their unique style.

Apple – MacBook Air

Warp Producer/DJ Hudson Mohawke had his single ‘Chimes‘ featured in the latest Apple MacBook Air advertisement.

Apple’s latest Macbook Air ad is notably fresh – The clip features some elements that will be familiar to and appreciated Hip-Hop heads.

As viewers listen to the instrumental, the familiar view of the back of a Macbook with the glowing Apple logo cycles threw a myriad of stickers.

Some notables include the logos of Supreme, Fool’s Gold, Heisenberg from Breaking Bad and a Beats sticker.
